My Views on Climate Change

Human civilization is threatened by the consensus on climate change. Everywhere and anywhere the talk is about climate change, even when the UK current temperature in this summer is 16 degree Celsius (30/07/2021). Meteorologists and environmentalists, predict the UK temperature in the coming summers will be 40 degree Celsius! People are like rabbits stunned by the headlights, listening to the catastrophic news of impending climate change orchestrated by scientists. But my view is that we, the human beings cannot do a lot, if the universe decides to change our climate.

I shall put forward my reasons to support this thesis. In my previous blog I have touched upon the terminologies of global warming and climate change. According to scientists climate change started after 1830, when human beings began using fossil fuel at the start of industrial revolution. Climate change causes rising temperature, rising sea levels, higher ocean temperature, increase in rainfall, shrinking glaciers, and thawing permafrost. Permafrost is a thick subsurface layer of soil that remains below freezing point throughout the year, mainly in polar region. Thawing permafrost can affect the ecosystem.

Since the industrial revolution, 3% of the glass house gases such as Carbon Dioxide (CO2), Methane (CH4) and and Nitrous Oxide (N2O) increased in the atmosphere. These gases trap extra heat near the surface of the earth causing temperature to rise. But my point of view is that, it is not the only driving force for climate change. Let me put an analogy, comparing the earth suffering from multiple unknown diseases including a visible skin disease. Just treating skin disease will not help to salvage the plight of whole body. Asking human beings to change the way of living such as stopping all forms of transport, not eating meat, not using fossil fuel altogether is ludicrous. Let us examine the scenario that the intensity of climate change still persists after decades of zero emission. By then we sacrificed all our enjoyment of life like driving cars, flying,eating good food, enjoying holidays abroad and so on. A lot of industries, trades and businesses would have bankrupted by then.

One of the reasons for the meteorologists to tell that climate change is happening because we are getting autumn or spring weather in summer. Also they blame it for increased flooding and storm. Sea water rise can happen in full or new moon phases.When the gravitational pull of the sun and moon are combined, you get more extreme high tide. The axis change of earth also can reflect more heat and light causing increased temperature. Pattern of seasons like spring, summer, autumn and winter can change if the orbit of earth revolving the sun changes. Planets closer to the sun have fewer days in a year and those farther from the sun more days in a year. That explains how we get autumn weather in summer, as we rigidly follow 365.25 days in a year, irrespective of change in the orbit.

How did a number of cities submerged under sea thousands of years back pre industrial revolution period? This indicates that sea level rise was happening thousands of years ago, and for that phenomenon, some other forces of earth was in action. Normally the sea level rises, when glaciers melt or the temperature of sea increases. This can be also due to the positions of the moon. The ancient city, Pavlopetri submerged in the Mediterranean sea about 500 years ago. At that time there was no man made greenhouse gases, except gases released in volcanic eruption.There is solid evidence to show that there are over 20 lost cities underwater around the world. In that list includes Dwarka in India, Port Royal in Jamaica, Pyramids of Yonaguni Jima of Japan, Lion City in china and Villa epecuen in Argentina.

People have been brainwashed into believing ‘extreme weather’, an effect of climate change is nonsense. I have not noticed any changes in the usual pattern of weather. Floods, wildfire, storms, typhoons, hurricanes,landslides, glacier melting, volcanic eruption, and tsunamis were all there since time immemorial, but improved media reporting helped such havocs to reach ordinary people.They blame extinction of species is due to climate change caused by human beings, but how did dinosaurs become extinct even before the origin homo sapiens? My view is that climate change is a part of natural evolution of earth. Previously the protagonists of climate change were bombarding people with drought in African countries, now they changed it into wildfire, too much rain and flooding!

Journalists working for the news media blindly accept what majority of scientists tell as gospel and pass those message to laymen. The evangelical approach of climate scientists, Extinction Rebellion, Friends of the Earth,World Wildlife Fund (WWF), Greenpeace activists forced a consensus of opinion on climate change. Most governments all over the world exploited the situation to tax people in the name of climate change. This shifted the burden of taxing from very rich people to common people who take flights, go on holidays and drive cars. In case the climate change is totally disproved, governments are not going to remove taxes on flight, fuel and commodities.

This blog is about my experience as a doctor working in various countries in different clinical set up. This experience spans through 45 years, in which I acquired a lot of favourable contacts and unfavourable encounters. I shall dig deep into them and make it interesting to the readers. Unlike others in the profession, I worked as a community medical officer in a remote areas, prison medical officer, benefit service medical officer, in cardiac surgery in prestigious institutions and as a private doctor. I was managing my own businesses, and real estate in three continents. I hope the information I impart will be valuable to the like minded readers.
